BMW launched the BMW X6 – an new X6
Sports Activity Coupe in India on July 23rd, 2015. With a price of
1.15 crore, this second generation car combines quintessential BMW X qualities
with elegance of a BMW coupe. BMW X6 is also offered with the M Sport package
that will comprise luxurious interiors and extensive customisation options.
The
new BMW X6's exterior
It comprises of a wide kidney grille,
large front air inlets with horizontal chrome trims, horizontal lines, and rear
L-shaped tail-lights with three-dimensional LED Adaptive Light. There is a new
grille-mounted front camera.
The
new BMW X6's interior
Inside, it gets the hallmark BMW driver
oriented design of the cockpit, the innovative control and display elements,
elevated seating position and lines which streak dynamically from the
instrument panel into the door panels to form a ring around the interior.
Special interior colours, exclusive trims and standard Dakota or optional Nappa
leather upholstery. BMW X6’s new lower roofline means that it is more
comfortable now. The seating at the rear is comfortable. At the front too,
there are elements like a driver and passenger knee pad in the central console.

Colours
The colours come in a choice of 5
options, namely, Alpine White (non-metallic), Carbon Black, Flamenco Red
Brilliant Effect, Space Grey, and Mineral White.
Dimensions
The new BMW X6 is bigger in size than
its predecessor as it measures 4,909 mm in length, 1,989 mm in width and 1,702
mm in height, while it gets the same wheelbase of 2,933 mm.
Engine
The new BMW X6 derives power from the
TwinPower turbo 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine that puts out 313 bhp along
with a maximum torque of 600 Nm. It comes mated to a new 8-speed sport
automatic transmission that allows that car to accelerate from 0-100 Km/h in
just 5.8 seconds on its way to a top-speed of 240 Km/h. The BMW X6M employs a
4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo petrol engine that produces 560 bhp of power and a
maximum torque of 750 Nm.
The new BMW X6 has got a new BMW Driving
Dynamics Control system. One can go from Eco to Comfort to Sport and Sport Plus
modes.
