Ford, the famous American carmaker has a reasonably strong
presence in India. Cars like Ford Classic, Fiesta, Ikon and EcoSport were well
received by the Indian car lovers. The small car, Figo also saw good sales in
India. Ford has left nothing to chance in its bid to strengthen its position in
India. The latest Ford car to make its entry in India was Aspire, a compact
sedan based on the Figo concept. The global giant is gearing up for few more launches

2015 Ford Endeavour – The Ford Endeavour
is one of the most sold premium SUVs in India. This iconic car is all set for a
facelift. The next gen variant of the Endeavour, known as Everest in certain
global markets is expected to hit the market in September 2015. Priced between
18 and 25 lakh rupees, this car is expected to do well. Endeavour will be offered
in two engine options - a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel engine or a 3.2-liter
five-cylinder diesel unit. A six-speed automatic variant might also be offered.

Ford Mustang – An iconic car all around
the world, the Mustang is expected in India sometime in November 2015. This
luxury car could cost around 40 to 45 lakh rupees. Although the car is
available in as many as 10 variants in the world markets, only one variant, the
V6 Coupe, will be offered here. It will be powered by a mighty 3720cc, 3.7
liter Ti-VCT, V6 motor of 305 bhp power and 380 Nm torque. It will come with a
six-speed automatic or manual transmission gearbox.

Ford Figo – Ford is preparing an all-new
model of the popular hatchback for 2015. It was introduced in India as Ford Ka
Concept in the 2014 Motor Show. This car might replace the current model of
Figo or it will be named as Ka and launched as an entirely new model. If named
Ka, then it would be positioned above Figo. The new car would be priced between
5 to 7.5 lakh rupees. This car would be launched in before the festive season
during the months of September to November 2015.

Ford Mondeo – Mondeo is a sedan from
Ford, which could cost around 15 lakh rupees and above. It is expected in
September 2015.

Ford Kuga – This SUV from Ford could be
priced at 16 to 17 lakh rupees. It is scheduled for launch in January 2017.
Once these cars come into the market, Ford will hope to see
better sales figures. A few facelifts to certain models like EcoSport could
also tilt the balance in favour of this auto giant in India.
